Thank you to all who made BRIGHT STAR: THE MUSICAL a wonderful experience!!

✨ Thank You from Act II Players! ✨

We are overflowing with gratitude for everyone who made our recent production of BRIGHT STAR: THE MUSICAL such a beautiful success. Whether you were on stage (acting, singing, dancing, moving the set, playing music) or behind the scenes directing, choreographing, musically directing, stage managing, costuming, gathering prompts, and/or building (and breaking down afterwards) the AMAZING set—or in the audience cheering us on—your support brought this story to life in the most magical way.

With love and appreciation,
Act II Players

Bright Star: The Musical!

(A Theatrical Rights Worldwide Production)

Music, Book, and Story by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell

Bright Star is a heartwarming, toe-tapping musical that takes you on an unforgettable journey of love, resilience, and redemption. Set against the stunning backdrop of the American South in the 1920s and 1940s, this Tony-nominated show weaves together two timelines to tell a deeply moving story inspired by a true event. Featuring a soulful, bluegrass-inspired score, Bright Star celebrates the power of hope, the bonds of family, and the discovery of a long-buried secret that has the power to transform lives. Overflowing with charm, humor, and unforgettable melodies, Bright Star is a dazzling celebration of the human spirit that will leave audiences humming long after the final curtain falls.

Directed by Jacksonville native Juliet Fixel (NYC Choreographer, Director, and Owner/Artistic Director of JFix Productions and Choreography), Ava Fixel (Artistic Director of Act II Players), and Ellen Milligan (Musical Director). Choreographed by Juliet Fixel. Joining our local cast are three performers from the New York area on summer hiatus.
